Where is your office located?
My practice is entirely virtual. You can meet me wherever it works for you. I have had sessions with clients in every room of their houses and cars.
My primary location is in Southern Missouri, and I am licensed to see clients in Missouri and Colorado. I have lived in Colorado Springs, Loveland, and Drake (near Estes Park).
I use a HIPPA-compliant program, Zoom, and have a VPN for extra security.
What are your hours?
I meet clients Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday 8 am – 5 pm CT.
At times, I can schedule outside of the above hours. Please let me know your needs, and I will see if I can accommodate you.
How long are the sessions?
Do you take insurance?
What if you don’t take my insurance?
How do I set up an initial appointment?
Call (970) 231-7251 or email deedra@iviewellnesscenter.com and set up a time to have a 15-minute initial consultation. We will discuss your needs on the call and see if I am a good fit for you. We will schedule the first appointment on the consultation call.
You will need to fill out a few forms before the first appointment. On the day of the session, I will send you a Zoom link, and you will click on the link to join the session. If you have not used Zoom before, please download the application and make sure your video and audio work. Doing this beforehand will ensure plenty of time for the session. If you don’t know how Zoom works, I’ll gladly walk you through it.
What is your cancellation policy?
There will not be a charge if you cancel or reschedule within 24 hours before the appointment. Otherwise, I will charge you half of the session fee.
What do you do in sessions with clients?
Do your clients receive assignments to work on between sessions?
What methods do you use in your client work?
For all clients, I use a Person-Centered Approach. This approach involves meeting where you are and just listening to what is going on in your life. I pull from the methods below and some others as needed. It all depends on what your needs might be.
Since anxiety tends to be an issue with most clients, we use Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT). This approach emphasizes helping you change your thoughts and behaviors. I have training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), focusing on Mindfulness, Emotional Regulation, Distress Tolerance, and Interpersonal Relationships.
I am currently being trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and have been using this with clients. This process uses bilateral stimulation, which is eye movements or tapping from the left to the right side of the body while addressing complex thoughts or images. This approach reduces the emotions attached to those thoughts and images and provides relief.
What is your professional training and experience?
My bachelor’s degree is in Behavioral Science and Religion, and my master’s is in Counseling.
In 2010, I received my first license as a Professional Counselor in Colorado; in 2022, I became licensed in Missouri.
I have experience working with children, teens, and adults in Residential Treatment Centers and Mental Health Centers. After this, I started a Private Practice and have continued to work with children, teens, and adults.
My last two years have primarily focused on adults with anxiety and depression.
